Co-operation

The Faculty has extensive co-operation with numerous institutions in Poland and abroad, the latter being one of the most important elements of scientific and education development of the staff. The co-operation relies on bilateral contracts, participation in international consortia within research projects and also mobility of scientific and didactic staff. The Faculty workers actively participate in various conferences, scientific symposia, workshops, exhibitions; they are experts evaluating European research projects.

The didactic co-operation, especially LLP Erasmus Program, created for higher education purposes, is mainly addressed to students and workers. Academies participating in Erasmus Program can exchange students:

  • Students can realize part of their study in partner countries and students from other centers can be accepted to our University (three months to one year in the host university, realizing accepted syllabus);

  • Students can have internships in co-operating European institutions, companies for a period of three months to one academic year; the University can also send its students for internships through Polish institutions specializing in internship organization.

For instance, in the academic year 2009/2010 it was 39 students from our Faculty who went out within the LLP Erasmus (out of the total of 176 AGH UST Erasmus students), and 17 for internships (out of the total of 36 AGH UST Erasmus trainees). In the academic year 2010/2011 the statistics were the following: 34 outgoing students from the Faculty (out of the total of 180 AGH Erasmus students), and 17 for internships (out of the total of 52 AGH UST trainees). The Faculty has signed 43 bilateral contracts for the academic year 2010/2011 within the LLP Erasmus Program.

In Poland, the Faculty cooperates with other academic centers, realizing work ordered by companies, state and administration organizations; it also participates in scientific and technological platforms.
