theoretical and practical aspects of designing, commissioning, and maintaining control systems for technical facilities and technological processes. Automation systems are entering into all areas of life. The benefits of automation and robotization can be clearly seen, especially in industry, communication, medicine, energy, and agriculture. The very interesting and open market for the Automatics and Robotics graduates is the dynamically developing job market related to the applications of control systems in high-tech medical apparatus, data communications, and intelligent buildings. The faculty offer is also extended by education in modern methods of production and use of renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaics and wind power. In addition to being unique in the country, research laboratories allow one to acquire practical skills in the design and operation of such systems.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The graduate of the field of study has knowledge in the following areas:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3><p>Mathematics; physics; operations research and systems theory; control theory and automatic control technology; elements, devices, and automation systems used in industrial, among others, vehicle automation; design, construction, and operation of continuous, logical, and sequential control systems; electrical engineering and fundamentals of electric drives; robotics, covering elements of robot kinematics and dynamics, as well as principles of their construction and programming; architecture and programming of computer systems, among others, such as microprocessor-based systems, reconfigurable systems, PLC systems, and vision systems; analog and digital electronic components and systems; computer science, covering in particular: construction and analysis of algorithms, programming methods, use of operating systems, database systems, and fundamentals of real-time and computer interactive systems.<\/p><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The graduate of the field of study can:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p>Design, configure, and commission a simple continuous or logical control system for various industrial processes using commercially available hardware and software: measurement sensors and PLC\/PAC sensors and actuators taking into account requirements related to: optimization of process guidance, human safety, environmental protection, and principal&#8217;s preferences; use advanced computer software used in various areas of automation: MATLAB, LABVIEW, PLC system configuration environments, SCADA environments and industrial databases, MES and ERP systems, image processing algorithm design tools; design, construct, and commission a specialized automation device dedicated to specific purposes; design the process of testing components or control systems, built software, and, if errors are detected, carry out their diagnosis; configure and program the operation of an industrial robot; formulate and program an algorithm, using high- and low-level programming languages, hardware description languages, and appropriate computer tools.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Career prospects:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3><p>The job offer of the Automatics and Robotics graduates is wide and includes the possibility of employment: in companies that design, implement, and maintain complex control and automation systems for various branches of the economy and industry; in companies that manufacture automation components, devices, and systems; in companies that produce advanced computerized control and management systems; in companies with a high degree of automation, computerization, and robotization of manufacturing processes; in scientific institutes and research and development centers; leading technical universities in the country and abroad; in technological, design offices, and laboratories of large industrial plants.<\/p><\/div><div id=\"jet-tabs-content-9512\" class=\"jet-tabs__content \" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-hidden=\"true\" data-template-id=\"false\"><h3><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Education in the second cycle degree program in the Automatics and Robotics is carried out within the framework of 4 specializations:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><h3><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">COMPUTER CONTROL SYSTEMS<\/span><\/strong><\/h3><\/li><\/ul><p>Education includes the methodology for designing, building, and programming digital and computer-based automation systems for measurement, visualization, and control of technological processes. Graduates in the specialty acquire knowledge and practical skills in mathematical modeling of processes, system analysis, digital processing of measurement signals, methods of synthesis of optimal control, and modern automation based on PCs and specialized microprocessor controllers.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><h3><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>COMPUTER SCIENCE IN CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><\/li><\/ul><p>The main purpose of education in this specialty is to impart knowledge and skills related to the use of modern methods of software engineering and information systems to solve complex process control and business management problems. The base of the specialty consists of IT subjects such as programming languages, operating systems, computer networks, etc.<\/p><p>databases, artificial intelligence, and topics on management algorithms, especially for discrete systems implemented in modern information systems.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><h3><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>SMART CONTROL SYSTEMS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><\/li><\/ul><p>The goal of education at the second cycle degree program in Automation and Robotics, specialty Smart Control Systems, is to prepare an engineer to work in all areas of the economy and everyday life where control, regulation, and supervision systems are designed, upgraded, and operated, especially those based on machine learning methods, as well as algorithms and vision systems.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><h3><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>CYBERPHYSICAL SYSTEMS (in English)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><\/li><\/ul><p>The goal of education in the second cycle degree program in Automation and Robotics, specialization Cyber-physical systems, is to educate an automation specialist who will find himself in the increasingly dynamic field of Cyber-physical systems and Industry 4.0.
